I hate reading these types of news stories, I would like to think we have evolved from such things as blasphemy crimes but here we are. Confess out of Iran is charged with blasphemy and playing Heavy Metal and speaking with foreign radio. These men are faced with losing their lives because of heavy riffs and speaking their minds due to a state run by religious fundamentalism and totalitarian fear that destroys anything that could be considered damaging to the leaders including art and women driving. I would like to note that Iran does not represent Islam anymore than the Westboro Baptist church represents Christians.

I don’t want to dwell on the negativity more than I have to so I’ll be linking the story of Confess from Metalinjection.com so you can read what’s going on in full there and support the band in any way you can.
